Women’s Superpower: Agency, Sexuality & Strength
Share
I’ve come to realise that some of our greatest strengths are found in the spaces where people least expect them to meet.
I can stand up and speak passionately about trans rights, women’s rights, equality and challenging misogyny. I can use my voice to advocate for dignity, autonomy and the right for every woman to define herself.
And I can also embrace my sexuality, confidence and sensuality through my work as a sex worker.
To me, these parts of my life aren’t contradictory. They are connected by something much deeper: agency.
The same principle that drives my advocacy, the belief that women should have ownership over their bodies, choices and identities, is also at the heart of my sexuality. I choose how I express myself, what boundaries I set, and how I show up in intimate spaces.
But I also believe this superpower isn’t uniquely mine. It belongs to all women.
Women have an extraordinary ability to adapt, endure, nurture, lead, reinvent themselves and keep going when life asks more of us than it should. We navigate expectations, challenge stereotypes, protect our boundaries, support one another and still find ways to embrace our softness, strength and sexuality.
Too often, women’s power is either underestimated or defined for us. We should acknowledge the power we already possess, not as something we need permission to claim, but as something we deserve to recognise in ourselves and in each other.
For me, empowerment isn’t about being powerful over someone else. It’s about being grounded enough in myself to know who I am, what I stand for and what I choose.
I’m an advocate. I’m a trans woman. I’m a sex worker. I’m sensual, outspoken, resilient and unapologetically myself.
And I know I’m not alone in that strength.
That shared ability to own ourselves, define ourselves and rise on our own terms, that is a superpower worth acknowledging.
And that, sir, is my superpower 💅
