I love my job 362 days a yearBut every now and then I don't listen to my body when it's screaming at me ro take care of whatever the problem might be, (whether it's because my mum was a nurse so I think that in some way makes me 1 or whether it's because I think my name makes me a real GP) but regardless I don't listen and end up an absolute mess. So yesterday was one of those days. Where after days of trying in vain to clear up a fairly substantial UTI I had to concede because I felt like my body was beginning to get poisoned and there was no coming back from that. And yes I absolutely know how serious these things can be, I have been hospitalised and come close to it being lethal on 1 other occasion. But before I could concede I had to come up with the money I had set as my target for that day.
Mostly because trying to get an insurance company to insure you for income protection when you work in this industry is pretty much impossible. Which is definitely discrimination because of all the company's I have enquired with not 1 could show me the statistics they used to base this decision!!! (Just another hurdle that people who work in our line of work face on the daily. )
Anyway after finally conceding I couldn't get into a doctors anywhere in Sunshine Coast as I was not an existing client so by this stage I was a blubbering mess and off I went to the hospital (after organising dinner for my son of course) and proceeded to wait from 8.30pm until 3 30am to get seen. Only to be prescribed some very strong anti biotics and be sent on my merry way.
LESSON DEFINITELY LEARNT!!! - I AM NOT A DEMI-GOD THAT CAN WITHSTAND ALL INFECTIONS OR ILLNESSES 🤦🏼♀️🙈💯
Although yesterday wasn't my favourite day I'm sure today will be better, because I quite literally have the best job ever!! I get paid to cum 🤪 The good, the bad and the ugly.
