While I'm on My Rant Today I Want To Touch On Another Subject That Is Causing Me Unnecessary Hassles & Dramas Aswell As The Client Who Has Paid A Deposit Only To Have Been Ripped Off, Blocked & Left Never Willing To Give Another Swkr A Deposit Again...If You Visit Me I Will Not Ask You For A Deposit Prior To Our Booking Time... What Causes Me Hassles Is If You Want Me To Come To You...I Will Usually Ask You To Send Me $10-$20 Before I Start Getting Ready To Visit You It's How I Confirm The Booking & How I Know Your 100% At The Location You Say & If Your Not Then I Haven't Wasted My Time, Petrol, On A Dud Booking ( Yes It Still Happens Not As Much Where Us SWkrs Take A Booking Only To Arrive At Your Ex's Parents House Or Were Literally 5mins Away & You Cancel Or You've Double Booked Etc)...We Used To Use Landlines As A Way To Confirm But Mobile Phones Actually Make That Harder These Days So I Ask Clients To Send Me $10-$20 So I Can Get Petrol & Not Be Stressing Out Before I Arrive At Your Place, Hotel, Motel No Phones In The Rooms Anymore... So Yes I Will Ask You To Send Me No More Than What It Will Cost Me In Petrol To Get To You....I Will Admit Most Clients Are Happy To Agree TBH....It's Not In My Best Interest To Not Turn Up As My Client Has The Rest Of The $$$ For Me When I Arrive...2) It's Not My Style I Have Never Not Turned Up To A Booking, 3) It's Unnecessary & Straight Out Wrong Of Me To Do That To The Client Who Has Trusted Me To Turn Up & 4) If You Are Going To Rip Someone Off Over Petrol Money Then You Really Should Do The Booking So You Have A Decent Amount Of Money All You Have To Do Is Turn Up & Actually Do The Booking & Guess What You Will Have $150-$200 Minimum Usually & The Client Might Actually Book You Again & All You Had To Do Was Turn Up Do The Right Thing & You Have 10x The Amount Of $$$ Than If You Rip The Person Off And You Aren't Causing Other SWkrs To Loose Work & $$$ Because The Clients Won't Pay A Deposit So No Booking Takes Place As Neither Of Us Are Willing To Take The Gamble On The Other Etc So I Guess What I Am Trying To Say Here Is If You Are Going To Take A Deposit Prior From A Client Please Just Turn Up Do The Booking & Count Your $$$ Notes You Just Made Because Your The One Who Advertised All You Have To Do Is Turn Up Not Stressed With A A Smile On Your Face Hopefully Leaving Your Client With A Smile On Their Face & Hopefully You Both Had A Really Good Time...
