There Is No “Perfect” Sex Worker..And That’s Exactly the Point
Share
One of the biggest misconceptions people have about the sex industry is that there is one type of woman who succeeds. Blonde. Young. Tiny waist. Big lips. Perfect skin. The stereotypical “10 out of 10.”
After working in this industry myself, I can honestly say that’s simply not true.
The sex industry is made up of women from every walk of life. We come from different countries, cultures, religions and backgrounds. Some of us are university students, some are mothers, some are business owners, some are supporting families, paying off debt or simply choosing a career that offers flexibility and financial independence. We are in our early twenties, our thirties, forties, fifties and beyond. We are petite, curvy, athletic, plus-size, tattooed, natural, enhanced, shy, outgoing, glamorous and everything in between. And every single one of us is somebody’s idea of beautiful. One thing I’ve learnt is that attraction is incredibly personal. What one man finds irresistible might not appeal to the next at all. Some clients specifically seek mature women because they appreciate confidence and life experience. Others love curvier bodies. Some prefer petite women. Others are attracted to women from particular cultural backgrounds or simply connect with someone’s personality more than their appearance.
There truly is someone for everyone.
That said, I also think it’s important to be honest about the realities of the industry. In many brothels, particularly larger establishments, younger women who are new to the industry or who fit conventional beauty standards often receive more bookings initially. They may also have more opportunities to move into higher-end venues where rates are higher and earning potential increases.
That doesn’t mean they’re better workers.
It doesn’t mean clients enjoy their company more.
And it certainly doesn’t mean other women are any less beautiful or deserving of success. The industry, like many others, is influenced by first impressions, marketing and society’s changing beauty standards. Sometimes those standards create opportunities for some women while making it more difficult for others, regardless of their experience, professionalism or ability to provide an exceptional service.
Personally, I don’t think that’s entirely fair.
Experience matters.
Emotional intelligence matters.
Conversation matters.
Professionalism matters.
Making someone feel comfortable, respected and genuinely seen matters. Those qualities can’t be measured by a dress size or a birth date. Some of the most successful women I’ve met aren’t the youngest or the skinniest. They’ve built loyal client bases because they create genuine connections, provide an incredible experience and make people feel valued. Many clients return because of how a woman makes them feel, not because she looks like an Instagram model.I also think we need to stop comparing ourselves to one another. Oh and being upset with another woman for being booked a lot more than you (whether it be on that particular night or in general) is NOT a valid reason to dislike or be jealous of her! Support each other,be there for each other, celebrate each other’s accomplishments and be as positive and upbeat as you can whilst at work even if it means faking it till you make it…it makes all the difference 😘
